The Emerging Markets Club at London Business School and IIT London Chapter had organised a discussion on what is the current state of affairs in the development of renewable energy sector in India and how does it fare with the developments in Europe.
Key Discussants include:
Vivek Mittal, Founder and MD of Millennium Resource Strategies Limited
He is a principal investor in the renewable energy and power sector. Over the last 18 months he has raised over EUR 250m of equity and debt finance for various renewable energy companies in Europe and India.
Michelle Thomas Partner & head of renewable energy, Eversheds LLP
In her renewable energy work Michelle specialises in advising UK and international clients on all corporate aspects in a wide range of technologies including on-shore and off-shore wind, waste to energy and most forms of biomass. Michelle's corporate work has involved advising large (including International Power) and small (including ECO2) developers on consortium arrangements, minority buy-outs, disposals and acquisitions. Michelle recently advised on the £200m enterprise value sale of Energy Power Resources Limited to a Macquarie infrastructure fund.
