Practical tax implications for non-UK domiciled individuals following the tax changes and what can be done to mitigate these

The seminar is taking place on June 25 2008 at KPMG’s Salisbury Square office in London. The seminar will commence  with registration and breakfast from 8:00am, presentations will begin at 8:30am and there will be plenty of time for questions afterwards. The seminar will  finish no later than 10:00am.

KPMG is hosting this seminar in association with TiE UK

The distinguished  speaker will be KPMG’s Head of Private Client Practice, David Kilshaw .   For the past 3 years running, David has been nominated as a member of the City wealth Top 100 Wealth Advisers and in 2007, and was presented with the award for Private Client Accountant of the year by Spears Wealth Management Survey. He also provides expert commentary on the Budget for the Sky News’ panel on an annual basis.

This seminar aims to provide attendees with practical solutions for mitigating tax changes following the Chancellor’s Budget 2008. This will include discussion of the following:

    • Workings of the £30k charge and when it will apply
    • UK residency test and day counting rules
    • Changes to the definition of a remittance to the UK
    • Changes to rules applying to offshore trusts
    • Changes to rules applying to offshore companies

There will also be a Q&A session to cover any areas which attendees may be interested in and answer any concerns.
